Incredible Collections with Unique Pieces.

The 24 Hours Museum, located near the main entrance of the Bugatti Circuit, is a must-visit for automotive enthusiasts. Dive into the captivating world of racing through the collections and temporary exhibitions.

Founded in 1961 as the “Automobile Museum of Sarthe,” the museum was renamed in 2009 to “24 Hours of Le Mans Museum – Sarthe Circuit” to further celebrate the history of the prestigious endurance race. Spanning 5000m² of exhibition space, the museum focuses on competition vehicles, the majority of which come directly from the nearby track. The museum’s mission is to share and preserve the unique heritage of racing. Its collection, established in the 1960s, has grown through acquisitions by the ACO and donations from individuals, racing teams, and major automobile brands, contributing to the expansion of the collections.

The Tour

The visit begins with the “Heroes’ Alley,” showcasing manufacturers, engineers, and celebrated drivers for their achievements and exceptional contributions to the success of the Le Mans event. The tour continues through the rotunda, a circular space highlighting our collection of over 4400 miniatures, featuring all cars that have participated in the race since 1923. The chronological journey invites visitors to explore our permanent collection through the decades, showcasing vehicles that have left a lasting mark on their generation through success and innovation, revealing how this iconic race has shaped the world of endurance racing over the years.

Today, the 24 Hours Museum boasts a remarkable collection of 66 cars, each telling a unique story of performance and innovation. In addition to its permanent collection, the museum hosts temporary exhibitions to offer a renewed experience to our visitors.
